Auditions and Barney Awards

2025 Season Auditions
 

Auditions will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 in the Fine Arts Building at UWEC- Barron County.  Registration will be from 9:00-9:30 am.  Audtions will begin at 9:30.  We are encouraging people to complete the audition form ahead of time but it will also be available at the registration table.  You can click on the link below to be directed to the online registration form.

2025 Summer Play Line-Up: 

Butterflies are Free    ( 2 women, 2 men)

The Psychic  (2 women, 4 men)

Legally Blonde    (9 women, 9 men, +ensemble)

Savannah Sipping Society (4 women)

Dad's Season Tickets  (3 women, 3 men)

2024 Barney Awards

The Red Barn Awards Banquet was held on  January 3, 2025 at Lehmans Supper Club in Rice Lake

The Barney Awards Nominations and Winners were:​

Best Actress in a Lead Role

● Gabriella Meinen as Louise in Gypsy

● Holly Dalsveen as Rose in Gypsy

● Allison Rick as Angela in Honky Tonk Angels

and the winner is:  Holly Dalsveen

 

Best Actor in a Lead Role

● Ben Heer as Clifford Anderson in Death Trap

● Bill Koslofsky as John Campbell in Be My Baby

● Jeff Dalsveen as Herbie in Gypsy

and the winner is:  Bill Koslofsky

Best Actress in a Supporting Role

● Ella Olson as Darlene in Honky Tonk Angels

● Amanda Kutyba as Sue Ellen in Honky Tonk Angels

● Kate Worzala as Big Betty Balou in Escanaba in Love

and the winner is: Amanda Kutyba

Best Actor in a Supporting Role

● Gregory John as Porter Milgrim in Death Trap

Best Actress in a Minor Supporting Role

Best Actor in a Minor Supporting Role

● Ed Hougdahl as Uncle Jocko, Pop, Weber, Kringelein, Cigar, and Phil in Gypsy

● Jeremy Westin as Georgie, Driver, Mr. Goldstone, Pastey, and Photographer in Gypsy

● Cooper Antczak as Yonkers in Gypsy

Best Female Newcomer
