“The Fantasticks” continues to enchant audiences at the Red Barn Theatre through Saturday August 28.  Striking in its simplicity and with profound wisdom, this bewitching musical has the distinction of setting the record for the world’s longest running musical. This quirky love story concerns two neighboring fathers who trick their children into falling in love by pretending to feud. A perfect production for the intimate Red Barn Theatre, the audience will feel the magic being played out on the stage by Hardscrabble Players Joseph Jensen, Ella Olson, Bob Rogers, Rachel Westberg (all of Chetek), Brandon Brown, Paul Baribeau, Phillip Warner (all of Rice Lake), and Rick Snyder (of Weyerhaeuser).  Musical director Andrew Hasty hails from St. Paul, MN.  Artistic directors, Jeff Hile and Chris Hopkins-Hile of Cumberland, are also well known artists and owners of Dancing Bird Art Studio and Music Shop. Their work is showcased in the Red Barn Gallery.
